Five BC Teens Arrested For Attempted Robbery Involving Bats And Fake Guns

Darpan News Desk Darpan, 07 Oct, 2014 09:57 AM
KELOWNA, B.C. - Mounties in Kelowna, B.C., are looking for a sixth teenager after arresting five others in connection with an attempted robbery involving bats and replica guns.

Police say a group of youths were outside Rutland Middle School on Saturday night when they were approached by five masked boys armed with bats and what appeared to be pistols.

The suspects allegedly demanded the youths turn out their pockets and then took off with several small items.

RCMP arrested two of the suspects shortly after the incident and three others later turned themselves in to police.

The five teenagers, who are between the ages of 13 and 15, appeared in court on Monday, but a sixth boy who police believe planned the alleged robbery has not yet been arrested.

The pistols turned out to be replica guns that can shoot spherical projectiles.
