A man has been convicted of first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of another man at a Richmond sushi restaurant.
Jian Jun Zhu was killed in the September 2020 shooting at Manzo restaurant where another victim was also shot but survived.
Richard Charles Reed was originally charged in November 2021 in relation to Zhu's death.
Reed has since been convicted of murder and was also convicted of reckless discharge of a firearm and possessing the weapon.
British Columbia says its current supply of COVID-19 vaccines will remain available until new formulations are approved, unlike other provinces that say they're following instructions from the Public Health Agency of Canada to remove and destroy existing doses. Police in Kelowna are on the lookout after an identified suspect grabbed a puppy out walking with its owner and fled. Kelowna R-C-M-P say the theft happened on the night of August 31st, when a "middle-aged, bald Caucasian male" in a grey vehicle pulled up next to the owner and the puppy walking on Royal Pine Drive.

Parkland Corp. has released a review into an unplanned shutdown of its Burnaby, B.C., refinery in January that blanketed parts of Metro Vancouver with a foul stench.
