Final Man Charged In 2008 Killings Of Mission, B.C., Couple Pleads Guilty

The Canadian Press, 07 Sep, 2016 11:51 AM
NEW WESTMINSTER, B.C. — The fourth and final man charged in connection with the 2008 targeted killings of a Mission, B.C., couple has pleaded guilty.

British Columbia's Criminal Justice Branch says Tom Holden entered a guilty plea for one count of conspiracy to commit murder in a New Westminster courtroom on Tuesday.

Three men have already pleaded guilty — one to first-degree murder and two to manslaughter — in the deaths of Lisa Dudley and Guthrie McKay.

Dudley and McKay were shot in their home, prompting neighbours who heard gunshots to call police, but the Mountie who responded did not get out of his cruiser.

The officer didn't see McKay dead and Dudley lying critically injured in the house, where she survived for several days before a neighbour found her, although she died en route to hospital.

Holden's sentencing hearing is scheduled for January 9.
