Fifty Mounties To Scour B.C.'s Comox Valley In Probe Into Julia Strobach's Disappearance

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 21 Apr, 2015 12:49 PM
COURTENAY, B.C. — Fifty Mounties are combing Vancouver Island's Comox Valley as part of a search for a missing mother who was last seen on Halloween in 2013.

RCMP say new information in an investigation into the disappearance of Julia Strobach has prompted them to conduct a meticulous search of two green spaces in Courtenay, B.C., Tuesday.

But officers say they cannot elaborate on what prompted the search involving the RCMP's tactical troop or what they are looking for.

Insp. Tim Walton says police have not been able to bring answers to Strobach's family and friends despite hundreds of investigative hours.

Strobach would now be 28 and has a three-year-old son.

Police are again appealing to the public for information about Strobach's activities prior to her disappearance.
