B-C Ferries has cancelled numerous sailings between the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island, including ships leaving from Tsawwassen, Horseshoe Bay, Swartz Bay and Nanaimo.
It says the cancellations stem from the "deteriorating weather forecast" including high winds in the Strait of Georgia.

Late afternoon and evening sailings have also been cancelled between Metro Vancouver and the Sunshine Coast, Vancouver Island and the northern Gulf Islands.
The ferry service says there is also a "strong risk" of cancellations on major routes on Wednesday.
