Female Pedestrian Struck By Truck In Crosswalk In Surrey

    Surrey RCMP is requesting the public’s assistance in a motor vehicle collision that occurred on May 31, 2018 in the Newton area of Surrey.
     
     
    On May 31st, 2018 at approximately 630 pm Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a pedestrian motor vehicle collision at 72nd Ave and 138th Street. A pick up truck was travelling eastbound on 72nd Ave when it collided with a pedestrian.
     
     
    The 57 year old female pedestrian was transported to a local area hospital in critical condition with life threatening injuries.
     
     
    The driver remained at scene and is cooperating with police.
     
     
    Alcohol and speed are not believed to be contributing factors in this collision. The incident is still under investigation.
