Father Mistakenly Drove Over, Killed Boy While Camping In Southern Alberta

The Canadian Press, 04 Jul, 2016 01:49 PM
PINCHER CREEK, Alta. — Alberta RCMP say they are not considering criminal charges against a man who accidentally killed his young son on a camping trip.

Mounties say the man and his family had just set up their trailer at the Castle Falls campground near Pincher Creek, south of Calgary, on Thursday night.

The man was moving a vehicle when he mistakenly drove over the three-year-old.

The parents and other campers drove him 40 kilometres to the nearest hospital.

Medical staff pronounced the boy dead.

Police say alcohol was not a factor.
