  • Fatal collision in Langley claims the life of a 17 year old

248th Street is currently closed between 64th and 68th Avenues as Langley RCMP investigate a single vehicle fatal collision that occurred just after 12:00 this morning.

The Hyundai Genesis was traveling northbound on 248th Street at what is believed to be a high rate of speed when it went off the road to the left and collided with a tree. The driver and lone occupant, a 17-year-old male from Langley, did not survive the collision. His family has been advised of his passing.

ICARS (Integrated Collision Analysts and Reconstruction Service) attended to assist Langley RCMP and the Criminal Collision Investigation Team (CCIT) will assume conduct of the investigation.

248th will likely remain closed until approximately 8:30 this morning.

Anyone with information that might assist police with this investigation is asked to call Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200.
