Evening Shooting On Vancouver Island Critically Injures Two People

    SOOKE, B.C. — A shooting has prompted a manhunt in Sooke, B.C.,about 40 kilometres west of Victoria.
     
    Staff Sgt. Jeff McArthur confirms two Sooke residents were rushed to hospital following the drive-by attack just after 9 p.m. Tuesday.
     
    BC Ambulance Service officials say the men were in critical condition.
     
    Witnesses told police three suspects fled in a grey sedan, and McArthur says officers are now searching for a grey, four-door, 2003 Kia Magentis, with Saskatchewan licence plate 404 JZB.
     
    The car had been reported stolen in the nearby Victoria suburb of Langford.
     
    Investigators are compiling descriptions of the three suspects and have not released a motive for the shooting.
