Elderly Pedestrian Hit In Surrey Crosswalk Dies From Injuries

    On September 30, 2018 at approximately 9:45 p.m. Surrey RCMP responded the intersection of 75th Avenue and 122A Street in Surrey after receiving a report that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle.
     
     
    A male in his 80's was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries but has now died in hospital from injuries sustained.
     
     
    It is early on in the investigation, however, speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash. Surrey's Criminal Crash Investigation Team in continuing to investigate this incident.
     
     
    The intersection was closed for a short period of time. Police are asking for witnesses or people with dashcam footage to come forward. 
     
     
    The driver remained at the scene and is co-operating with police. 
     
     
    If anyone witnessed the crash or has information regarding the crash is asked to call the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502.
