Elderly Man In Eastern Ontario Facing Domestic Assault Charges From 50 Years Ago

    SOUTH GLENGARRY, Ont. — An 81-year-old man is facing dozens of charges related to assaults that took place more than 50 years ago.
     
    Ontario Provincial Police say the charges were laid after what they describe as a domestic assault investigation.
     
    They say the man is facing charges for incidents that allegedly took place between 1963 and 1967 against victims who were known to him.
     
    The charges include 13 counts of assault, six counts of assault causing bodily harm, three counts of indecent assault and two counts of uttering threats.
     
    The man's name is not being released. He is scheduled to appear in court in Cornwall, Ont. on April 26.
