Elderly Male Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck By Vehicle In South Vancouver

    An elderly pedestrian struck by a car on November 2 in South Vancouver has died.
     
     
    At 10:30 a.m. on November 2, Vancouver Police were called to a collision at the intersection of South East Marine Drive and Victoria Drive where a white Mazda struck a pedestrian in a crosswalk. The pedestrian, an 80-year-old Vancouver man, was rushed to hospital with serious injuries and died a week later.
     
     
    The driver of the Mazda remained at the scene and continues to cooperate with investigators from the VPD’s Collision Investigations Unit.
     
     
    There have been seven pedestrian fatalities in 2018.
