CALGARY — Police have made arrests in the 2006 murder of a Calgary man who was shot to death and dumped in a rural area east of the city.

RCMP have charged 28-year-old David Daviau with first-degree murder and 29-year-old Kyle Andree with manslaughter and being an accessory after the fact.

Both are from Calgary, but were arrested in Ontario.

Wayman Cornell Scott was 32 and his body was dumped in a frozen field near a rural road in December 2006.

The investigation has revealed Scott was shot at a Calgary residence before being transported out of the city.

The two accused will be brought back to Calgary to appear in court on Wednesday.
