Edmonton-Area Home Invasion Linked To Mac's Homicides

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 23 Dec, 2015 12:49 PM
SHERWOOD PARK, Alta. — Police are confirming a link between a home invasion and the shootings of two Mac's convenience store employees in Edmonton.

Const. Chantelle Kelly of Sherwood Park RCMP says a car stolen during a Dec. 13 invasion was used in the homicides five days later.

Three suspects — two men and a 13-year-old boy — are in custody and face murder charges.

Kelly says the victim of the invasion was a guest in the home and the residents weren't there at the time.

In a YouTube video, the victim describes how her assailants asked if the residents were home.

Kelly says RCMP are investigating how the invasion and the two early-morning homicides on Dec. 18 at two different stores may be connected.
