Edmonton woman wins $15 million in Lotto Max draw from last October

    EDMONTON — An Edmonton woman has won $15 million playing the Lotto Max.

    Mary Ann Estanislao says she only ever buys one ticket, believing that's all you need if you're meant to win.

    Her winning ticket was from the Oct. 24 lottery and was the sole winner in that draw.

    Estanislao had little trouble convincing her family members she had really won.

    She says she would talk so often about what she would do if she won that when she sat her daughter down, her first question was: "Did you win the lottery?"

    The winner says her initial plans include paying off her mortgage and paying bills, as well as travelling.

    She says she may also contribute to her favourite charities.
