Metro Vancouver Transit Police say a months-long investigation into drug trafficking using the transit network has netted firearms, ammunition and an estimated 70-thousand-dollars worth of illicit drugs.
Police say they began investigating people associated with the provincial gang conflict last fall, and earlier this month they served three search warrants in different municipalities.
Police say they seized 10 firearms, 38-hundred rounds of ammunition, illicit drugs, 50-thousand-dollars in counterfeit cash, and a Mercedes believed to have been purchased using criminal proceeds.
Four suspects have been arrested and police say additional arrests are anticipated as part of the ongoing investigation.
