Drivers Of Two Vehicles Killed In Crash On Highway 16 Near Valemount, B.C.

    VALEMOUNT, B.C. — Two people are dead after a collision between a commercial transport truck and an SUV on Highway 16 in eastern B.C.
     
    Valemount RCMP say the crash occurred about four kilometres east of Tete Jaune Junction just after 8 a.m. on Wednesday.
     
    Cpl. D.J. Tyreman says officers arrived at the scene to find the drivers of both vehicles dead.
     
    He says neither vehicle was carrying passengers.
     
    The highway remained closed while police investigated the crash.
     
    The drivers' identities will not be released.
