VANCOUVER — The suspected driver in an early morning hit-and-run that killed a 39-year-old Vancouver man has turned himself in to police.
Vancouver police Sgt. Jason Robillard says the 54-year-old driver eventually did the right thing by coming forward, and he has been released pending further investigation.
Robillard says the vehicle involved has been seized and charges will be determined once a thorough investigation has been completed.

Police say just after 3 a.m. Thursday a passerby discovered a man who appeared to have been struck and seriously injured on Kingsway near Glen Drive
Police say the driver did not remain at the scene and the pedestrian was taken to hospital and died shortly after.
The death is Vancouver's eighth pedestrian fatality of 2018.
