DoorDash increasing its fees

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 03 Oct, 2024 09:44 AM
  • DoorDash increasing its fees

DoorDash says it's increasing fees in the province in response to provincial regulations that require it to pay its workers more.

Starting this month, a new fee of 99 cents for restaurant delivery orders and up to two-dollars-99 cents for all other delivery orders will be added.

DoorDash says the regulations are "significantly increasing" its operating costs.

The company says the new guaranteed wage of 20-dollars-88-cents per hour while out on delivery is 20 per cent higher than the regular minimum wage in B-C.
