Door to door pranks in Surrey

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 18 Jul, 2024 10:24 AM
  • Door to door pranks in Surrey

Mounties in Surrey are investigating door-knock pranks after multiple residences were damaged.

Police say a decades-old prank known as Nicky nicky nine doors, has devolved into cases of harassment and mischief as an ongoing frenzy of pranks takes place in the neighbourhoods of Newton and South Surrey.

Mounties say they have identified some pranksters and they are seeking potential criminal charges.

James Mason with Surrey R-C-M-P says although this type of behaviour might not have started with malicious intent, these people are showing a lack of respect for residents and their property.
