Two men are in their 20s and from Surrey who have tragically lost their lives in a car accident in West Vancouver.
West Vancouver Police have taken one man into custody and laid charges against 20 year old Dilpreet Sandhu of Vancouver on 2 counts of Criminal Negligence, in the operation of a motor vehicle, causing death.
According to police high speeds and alcohol likely contributed to the crash.
The prosecution service says in a statement that Const. Lacey Browning faces one count of assault after a wellness check in Kelowna on Jan. 20, 2020. A civil lawsuit was settled this year between Browning and Mona Wang, who was a nursing student at the University of British Columbia's Okanagan campus.

British Columbia will be requiring proof of vaccination for people attending certain social and recreational settings and events. As of September 13, one dose of vaccine will be required for entry to these settings.
