Coquitlam RCMP is searching for the rightful owners of a large amount of cash that was found in IKEA located at 1000 Lougheed Highway, Coquitlam on September 11, 2022.

The cash was turned into police recently after it was located by a store employee. The cash is believed to have been dropped sometime in early September 2022.

The finder demonstrated genuine integrity by turning the money over to the police in the hopes that it could be returned to its rightful owners, said Media Relations Officer Corporal Alexa Hodgins. Coquitlam RCMP would like to remind the public to report lost large sums of money to the Police to increase the chances of having the money returned.
