A passerby saw the body sticking out of the bin outside the North Hill shopping mall at about 3:45 a.m. Thursday and called 911.

Police, the fire department and emergency medical services responded and the man was pronounced dead.

The medical examiner will do an autopsy to determine the cause of death, but police said it was accidental.
