Based on information gathered thus far, there appears to be no link to the ongoing Lower Mainland gang conflict. This incident is believed to be isolated and not random.

“There are people out there with knowledge of Mr. Sander,” said Sergeant David Lee of IHIT. “Information about his activities and history will greatly help in determining what happened.”

Homicide investigators are looking to speak with anyone who was in the area of 1700-block of 224 Street on February 10 around 1:30 a.m. who may have heard or seen anything usual. Friends and associates of Mr. Sander are being asked to contact IHIT.
