Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 10 Apr, 2015 12:09 PM
  • Dead Body Found On Property Of UBC President Arvind Gupta’s Campus Home
VANCOUVER — Police say a body was found on the property of the official residence of the president of the University of British Columbia.

RCMP Cpl. Brenda Winpenny of the UBC detachment says officers arrived at the campus residence of Arvind Gupta on Thursday after someone on the property called police.

She says officers have not yet determined how the man died, and she had no information yet on his identity or age. She confirmed the man was not Gupta.

Winpenny says the president's property is located near trails that descend to several local beaches.

The home, in Vancouver's upscale Point Grey area, is officially known as Norman Mackenzie House, and it stands west of the Museum of Anthropology and next to Pacific Spirit Regional Park.
