Daniel Paul, Primary Suspect In Murder Of Vancouver Woman Charged After Month-Long Manhunt

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 10 Jul, 2015 01:35 PM
VANCOUVER — A Vancouver man accused in the death of a mother of five has now been charged with second-degree murder.

Police say 42-year-old Daniel Paul was Crystal Paul's boyfriend and identified as the primary suspect early on but he couldn't be located.

The 36-year-old woman's body was discovered in the basement suite of a Vancouver home in early March.

Police say that after public appeals for information and an extensive search, patrol officers spotted the man nearly a month later as he was riding a bike.

He remains in custody pending further court appearances.

Vancouver Police had offered a $10,000 reward for Paul's arrest, saying he sports numerous arm tattoos including a rat, a knife, and a heart.
