On Saturday, May 22, 2021, at approximately 7:45 p.m., police responded to a wellness check at the address of 25 James Park Square.
It is reported that:
- when officers arrived, they located a woman in the hallway of the home, deceased with obvious signs of trauma
- officers also located a man in the basement of the home deceased
The woman has been identified as Daisy Sehgal, 46, of Toronto. An autopsy revealed her cause of death to be neck compressions.
The man has been identified as Anurag Kalwar, 50, of Toronto.
The Toronto Police Homicide unit has taken carriage of the investigation. The deaths are not being treated as suspicious, there are no outstanding suspects.
Questions remained Wednesday about the future of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine in Canada as the federal government prepared to receive hundreds of thousands of doses while provinces limited use of the shot.
