Crash involving impaired driver in Richmond

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 18 Dec, 2024 01:21 PM
  • Crash involving impaired driver in Richmond

Mounties in Richmond are looking for witnesses or dashcam footage of a crash involving an alleged impaired driver.

They say it happened last Thursday just after 8 p.m. on Sea Island Way at Great Canadian Way.

R-C-M-P say the driver of a grey, 2023 Hyundia Elantra reported being rear-ended by a semi-truck and told police that when he spoke to the driver, he could smell liquor.

Police say officers responded to the scene and ultimately arrested the truck driver for impaired driving, but are now asking anyone with information to come forward.
