Coquitlam RCMP take one person in custody after shots fired

At approximately Noon, Tuesday on May 31st, 2022, Coquitlam RCMP responded after receiving reports of shots heard in the 1900-block of Lodge Drive, Coquitlam.

Coquitlam RCMP has been investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and an Elementary school near by was put on 'hold and secure'.

One person was located and is in custody. There is no risk to the public.

The nearby Elementary school is no longer in 'hold and secure' mode.

On Sunday, May 22, 2022 at 11:26 p.m., Burnaby RCMP frontline officers came upon a pedestrian that had been struck by a vehicle in the 6600 block of Hastings Street in Burnaby.
