Coquitlam RCMP are seeking witnesses or potential additional victims to assist in identifying the suspects of an unprovoked assault with a weapon.

Police officers responded to Glen Drive and Lansdowne Drive in Coquitlam at 12:20 a.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 after two pedestrians were shot with pellet guns by two unknown males. The victims were walking on Glen Drive when the suspect males walking behind them shot both their legs with more than a dozen pellets.

The victims suffered minor injuries.

The suspects fled on foot east-bound on Glen Drive in Coquitlam.

The suspects can be described as males, slim build, between 5’8 to 5’9 tall and wearing all black.

This event is very concerning to Police as there is no clear motive to this unprovoked assault, said Corporal Alexa Hodgins of the Coquitlam RCMP. Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed this incident, have dashcam video or may have been a victim of a similar occurrence to contact the Coquitlam RCMP.
