Conservative MP Ed Fast Recovering From Stroke In Abbotsford, B.C.

    OTTAWA — Conservative MP Ed Fast is recovering from a stroke.
     
    The former international trade minister suffered from the medical emergency Saturday at his home in Abbotsford, B.C.
     
    His office says he is in "stable condition" and "expected to make a full recovery."
     
    His family is asking for privacy so that he can focus on getting well and returning to his parliamentary duties as quickly as possible.
     
    Fast was first elected to represent the B.C. riding of Abbotsford in 2006.
     
    He is currently the Conservative critic for the environment.
