Police in Metro Vancouver say they're investigating a Christmas Day assault at a SkyTrain station that left the victim with serious injuries.
They say officers were called to the New Westminster station at about 5 P-M.
The victim was taken to hospital in serious condition, but is expected to recover.
Police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
Vancouver police say 268 people were arrested and over 100-thousand dollars in stolen merchandise was recovered in a recent shoplifting crackdown dubbed “Project Barcode.” Police say officers also seized 31 weapons at about 30 retailers between November 30th and December 15th.
