RCMP are investigating a two-vehicle collision where one person died on the Trans Canada Highway.

On August 27, 2020 at approximately 9 p.m., Chilliwack RCMP supported by Chilliwack Fire Department, and BC Ambulance responded to the report of a collision between a westbound motorcycle and a motorhome on the Trans Canada Highway and Prest Road.

Frontline officers quickly arrived to the scene where police located the operator of the motorcycle – a 28-year-old man from Abbotsford- who had succumbed to his injuries.

Chilliwack RCMP and the BC Coroners Service supported by the Lower Mainland District-Integrated Collision Reconstruction Service (LMD ICARS) continue their investigations of the collision.

We are reaching out to motorists who may have witnessed or have video of the crash to contact police, says Corporal Mike Rail spokesperson for the UFVRD.

RCMP urge anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact police at 1-604-792-4611.
