Chilliwack Police Looking For Two Male Child-Luring Suspects

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 21 May, 2015 01:22 PM
CHILLIWACK, B.C. — Police in Chilliwack, B.C., are looking for two male suspects wanted for separate cases of child luring.

RCMP Cpl. Mike Rail says in a news release that on April 30 an older man driving a red van offered candy to an 11-year-old girl who ran away to a friend's house.

Rail says on May 17 an older man driving a white minivan offered a ride to a 12-year-old girl who also ran away.

The first suspect had a long white beard and blue eyes and wore sweatpants, a long-sleeved shirt and toque that were all black.

The second suspect was about 50 years old, had a long, skinny dark-brown beard and medium build and wore a dark reddish-brown cowboy hat and a long-sleeved black shirt.

Rail says adults should review street-proofing safety tips with their children and advise them not to accept gifts from strangers without checking first with a parent.
