A B-C city is turning a new leaf.
Normally known for its dairy and animal agriculture products, Chilliwack is hosting its first ever vegan food festival.
The festival is hosted by local grocery store The Veganist for its one-year anniversary since opening, and co-founder Logan Bryan says vegan products have been welcomed by the majority of the community.
Organizers say the June 17th festival is meant to encourage everyone to learn more about vegan food and lifestyles.
They released surveillance footage of a man pouring flammable liquid on the front door of a home before setting it on fire around 3 A-M on March 27th. Police say a 23-year-old resident of the home was able to extinguish the fire, leaving the home with what they say was relatively minor damage.
