Police in Winnipeg say a child has died after falling from a window on the 19th floor of a building. It happened Monday in the city's downtown.
The child was taken to hospital and pronounced dead. Police say its child abuse unit has determined the fall was accidental.
There have been no arrests. Police say they can't provide further details about the child.
Mounties in Nanaimo are asking for the public's help in cracking down on motorcycle riders operating dangerously in the Vancouver Island city. The Grain Growers of Canada say in a statement that it is "deeply concerned" about a potential strike of grain workers in Metro Vancouver, since about 52 per cent of all Canadian-grown grain went to those terminals last year.
