Chase The Ace Madness To Resume April 23 In Sydney, N.S., With $2Million Jackpot

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 10 Apr, 2016 01:36 PM
  • Chase The Ace Madness To Resume April 23 In Sydney, N.S., With $2Million Jackpot
SYDNEY, N.S. — The jackpot is expected to be $2.2 million on April 23 when Chase the Ace madness resumes in Sydney, N.S.
Glace Bay, N.S., resident Janet MacDonald didn't pick the ace on Saturday night but she still won the split of $327,747.

Chase the Ace is like a 50-50 draw in which players buy numbered tickets for about $5 each.

The winner gets a percentage of the total ticket sales and a bigger jackpot if they pull the ace of spades from a deck of cards that gets smaller with each successive draw.

There will be six cards left in the deck for the next draw.

Police ramped up staffing, and restaurants called in additional staff to handle the influx of people in the city of roughly 30,000 for Saturday's draw.
