Charges laid, victim identified after body found in East Vancouver apartment

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 09 Jan, 2015 10:45 AM

VANCOUVER — Police have identified a man whose body was discovered in a Vancouver apartment, and a charge has been laid against his accused killer.

Forty-nine-year-old Jeffery Nasa-Dyke was found dead Tuesday afternoon.

Twenty-nine-year-old Kenneth Izzard has been charged with manslaughter and is in custody until his next court appearance.

Police have said a man living in the apartment was arrested a few blocks away about 15 minutes after the body was found.

Officers say the two men knew each other and that the murder appears to be drug-related.

Police say Nasa-Dyke was last seen on Nov. 13 and reported missing six days later.
