Charges laid in the murder of Dank Mart Owner Amin Shahin Shakur

  • Charges laid in the murder of Dank Mart Owner Amin Shahin Shakur

Charges have been approved by the BC Prosecution Service against a Vancouver man following a Vancouver Police investigation into a murder last July.

Officers responded to 9-1-1 calls about shots being fired call near Main Street and East 48th Avenue on July 13, 2020. Amin Shahin Shakur, 30, was found dead at the scene.

Shakur was the owner of a Dank Mart and was seen as a valuable member of the community. 

Mohammed Abu-Sharife, 41, has been charged with second degree murder. Abu-Sharife will remain in custody until his next court appearance.
