Mounties have laid charges related to a homicide last year in Fort St. James.
A 29-year-old man from that north-central B-C community was taken into custody yesterday and remains in jail with a court date set for later today in Williams Lake.
Police were called to a home in Fort St. James on February 25th last year.
Thirty-six year old John Lazare was found dead from a gunshot wound and investigators said at the time that the attack was targeted and there was no risk to the public.

The Vancouver Police Department says the 32-year-old has been charged with attempted murder and discharging a firearm. In an earlier statement after the Sunday afternoon shooting, the department said officers were working on East Hastings Street around 2:30 p.m. when the 31-year-old victim was repeatedly shot.
