  • Charges laid against robbery suspect: Surrey RCMP

Charges have been laid against a robbery suspect in connection with a number of alleged robberies in the Ocean Park area in April and May of 2022.

Between April 24 and May 8, 2022 Surrey RCMP responded to three separate reports of robberies to food service businesses in the area of 128 Street and 16 Avenue.

Surrey RCMP Robbery Unit took conduct of the investigations and through extensive evidence gathering linked all three robberies to one suspect.

On June 28, 2022, a suspect was arrested and a search warrant was executed at his place of residence in Surrey.

On October 4, 2022, 3 charges against 35-year-old Daniel Richardson Lloyd were laid which included: 2 counts of robbery and 1 count of attempt robbery.

Lloyd is waiting on a court date for his appearance.

On May 3, 2022, 39-year-old, Giovanni Robert Cipparone, was charged with four counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Property Obtained by Crime and four counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. Giovanni has been served a summons to appear in court later this month.

An information charging Cst. Randhawa with one count of dangerous driving causing bodily harm contrary to section 320.13(2) of the Criminal Code was sworn on May 18, 2022, under Provincial Court file number 248979. The first appearance on this matter is scheduled for June 15, 2022, in Surrey Provincial Court.
