Charges Laid 22-Year-Old Khouri Green After Random Break-In Ends In Fatal Shooting In Surrey

The Canadian Press, 14 Jul, 2015 12:50 PM
SURREY, B.C. — Homicide investigators say a 22-year-old man has been charged with the second-degree murder of a Surrey father and well-known realtor.

Khouri Green is due to appear in provincial court barely 24 hours after his arrest for the shooting death of Colin Hill.

The 42-year-old father of two was fatally shot late Sunday night as he tried to stop an intruder from entering his home.

Members of the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team have said the break-in was random and that Hill did not know the attacker.

Green was picked up when RCMP pulled over a stolen vehicle in Burnaby a short time after the shooting.
