Charges Against Teenaged Motorcyclist In Kamloops After High School Prank Falls Flat

The Canadian Press, 17 Jun, 2016 01:28 PM
KAMLOOPS, B.C. — School officials in Kamloops are not laughing about one student's ill-advised prank.

The superintendent of the Kamloops-Thompson School District says a youth rode his motorbike through the halls of Valleyview Secondary Thursday afternoon.

Karl deBruijn says several students and staff, including the school's principal, were almost hit.

He says the prank amounts to reckless disregard for the safety of others.

Kamloops RCMP say the 17-year-old rider is facing a charge of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
