Charge For Quebec Man Upgraded To Manslaughter In Death Of Infant Daughter

    GATINEAU, Que. — A Quebec man who allegedly shook his infant daughter has had his criminal charge upgraded to manslaughter after her death.
     
    The 25-year-old appeared in a courtroom today in the western Quebec town of Gatineau.
     
    He was orginally charged with aggravated assault after the girl was found unconscious last week.
     
    Police had previously announced that the girl, who was not yet two months old, died Friday.
     
    The accused's bail hearing will take place Wednesday.
