  • CFIA recalls many waffle brands

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued a national recall for several brands of waffle and pancake products due to possible listeria contamination.

The agency says the recall includes gluten free and Belgian waffles from the brand Compliments, Belgian and toaster waffles from Duncan Hines, as well as waffles and Buttermilk pancakes from Gordon Choice and Great Value.

The recall also includes waffles from Life Smart, Natures Path Organic, President's Choice and the no name brand, waffles and pancakes from Selection.

The agency says products with best-before dates between October 1st to October 11th, 2025, should not be consumed.

B-C is little more than a week into fall, but Environment Canada is warning of wet snow in the northeast and along a stretch of the Trans-Canada Highway. Muncho Lake and Stone Mountain provincial parks west of Fort Nelson are expected to see about 10 centimetres before the snow eases later today.
