CBC Videographer In Hospital After Vehicle Hits Ditch In Northern Alberta

The Canadian Press, 12 May, 2016 11:00 AM
LAC LA BICHE, Alta. — RCMP say a man is in critical condition in hospital after a CBC vehicle crashed near a northern Alberta community that is housing Fort McMurray fire evacuees.

Officers responded to a crash just outside Lac La Biche about 5:25 a.m.

Police say the news vehicle had been going east on Highway 55 when it went off the road and landed in a ditch.

The driver was the only one in the vehicle and was airlifted to an Edmonton hospital.

A CBC news report says the man is one of the network's videographers.

Media have been staying in Lac La Biche to cover a wildfire that forced more than 80,000 people out of Fort McMurray last week.
