Darpan News Desk IANS, 24 Dec, 2015 05:12 PM
Three Indian youths, who were allegedly physically tortured by their employer in Saudi Arabia, will return to India within a week, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said on Thursday.

"We reported this to Saudi Police. We are in touch with Indian workers. They will be back in India within a week," Sushma Swaraj tweeted.

On Wednesday, the minister stated that India had approached the Saudi police and got the youths police protection.

According to reports, the three youths, hailing from Haripad in Kerala's Alappuzha district, were taken to Saudi Arabia by a placement agency on false job promises.

A video recorded by one of the youths and circulating on WhatsApp shows their Saudi employer beating them with a wooden plank.
