Prince George R-C-M-P want to identify a suspect in a theft on Monday from a car in a local parking lot.

Police say he a took a bag containing clothing and other personal items worth over one-thousand-dollars in the lot in the 300-block of Victoria Street.

Mounties were able to get a photo of the suspect, which is available on their website.

He's described as an older man with greying hair, wearing a blue and tan bomber jacket, green cargo pants, a grey ball cap and sunglasses.

Canada's inflation rate climbed back up to two per cent in October, shifting expectations slightly in favour of a quarter-percentage point interest rate cut next month. The report from Statistics Canada on Tuesday said prices in October increased at a faster annual pace in five out of the eight major components of the consumer price index.
