Car Crashes Into Hydro Pole In Surrey, Knocking Out Power To Homes

    On September 11th, 2017 at approximately 2:00am, Surrey RCMP received several calls reporting a single vehicle collision into a hydro pole near the intersection of 64th Avenue and 184th Street. 
     
     
    Officers attended the scene along with Surrey Fire Services and the BC Ambulance Service. The driver of the vehicle, a 42 year old resident of Surrey, remained at the scene and was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 
     
     
    There was extensive damage to both the vehicle and hydro pole. BC Hydro is presently on scene. Power will be out in the area for some time. 
     
     
    The intersection is presently closed to traffic and will remain so for some time while hydro crews work to repair the pole.
