TWINS FALLS, United States — A Canadian died in southern Idaho in a BASE jumping accident when her parachute failed to open.
 
Twin Falls County Coroner has identified the woman as Kristin Renee Czyz, 34, of Calgary.
 
Gene Turley says Czyz was BASE Jumping on Friday when her parachute failed.
 
The Twin Falls Times News reported that Czyz was jumping from a bridge.
 
The newspaper says people in boats pulled the woman from the Snake River but she was pronounced dead when she was brought to shore.
 
The paper says it was told by Twin Falls County Sheriff Tom Carter that a BASE jumping expert is examining the woman’s parachute to see what went wrong.
